Today was definitely the day for me finding children's records. I saw a lot of Melody House LP's but most of them were kinda 
The Kimbo joints I found were pretty cool though. Walk Like The Animals is pretty much like a children's Moog record, pretty nice. I wasn't up on that Peggy Lee record either. Good stuff. Most exceeded expecations condition wise, these records are usually beat beyond any playability, like my copy of Multiplication Rock.

I didnt contribute anything to RecordDay as I was
away from the PC, so I will dropp a 'lil k-nowledge:
Almost every medium sized city has a store that sells
teaching supplies. Often a Scholastic Store chain.
I have hit up 4 seperate stores in 4 cities and I came
away with a box of kimbos, EA's, MH's, and (grail) Playhouse joints
from each one. They almost always have old stock.
On a related note, dont sleep on hitting up the dance instruction
studio thats been around for ages.
Hoctor/Statler/Orion haet for daaaayyyyyzzzzzz.
That is all.
I actually missed a collection of this stuff from a dance studio that dumped it on a local dealer just before I found out that some were worth looking for... it was literally a couple weeks later when I came back to look through them and some local beathead had bought the entire lot.

Yeah. I always stop in one of those spots if everything else is dry. Matter of fact, I hit one of those in Bristol VA/TN a few months ago. The shop was straight out of 1975. They even had Califone players for sale and the employees were smoking in the store. So I went through this box of records--they were all sealed--pulled about ten titles I didn't know. Paid for them, cracked the seals and whipped out my portable on the counter. They were all terds. I told the lady she could keep them and rolled. Wasted $20. Chalk it up as tuition.

melody house is actually still in operation out in oklahoma city
i stopped by and picked up some nice things, but that was 5-6 years ago and they should be pretty done about now.

It is not heat nor funky but I feel it's the true holy grail of children's records.
Maybe that's just because I have a copy.

I really dig it, but I have a soft spot for choir/shouty kid stuff.
from what i remember shdrach has a tiny touch of something that i felt sounded useful. the cover is dope! haha

I love kids records but often pass on them due to condition. Half the time the cover is the best part.
I have a ton of LPs but they are in boxes right now. Remember those story book 45's from the 70's and 80's? I love those.
Heres a bunch of super duper oldies we have. Unbreakable.
These ones are my favs. I like the Nuttin' one because the kid has a gun and looks all pissed. I could see modernizing it and making it say something like...
" I'm going to put a Cap in your Ass Santa" Ya know like those Dick and Jane Spoofs.
Bimbo and Happy Clock are pretty Scary.
Just a couple weeks ago I found 6 Sesame Street 45's in shrink unplayed. How often do you find M- kids records that are 30+ years old?
How often do you find any 45 in shrink?? Were Kids records the only 45's that were sealed?
