I went to a Japanese film thing on the weekend and saw both -
Azumi[/b]
and
KaKushi Ken Oni no Tsume (The Hidden Blade)[/b]
I have both on DVD, but it was nice to see these in the theater with a nice sound system. I'm looking forward to seeing the Azumi sequel (Anyone seen a DVD with English subs yet? I saw the korean rls but no english on it. I heard it kinda sucks tho). And if anyone saw The Twilight Samurai, Hidden blade is just like it. I loved the film, eventhough it seemed like I was watching an extention of TTS.
Also Can anyone hit me on to some upbeat Japanese music? It can be JapPop or whatever...

Azumi 2 was worse than part 1 which is a miracle. lol. I have two of the Azumi 2 versions. The Japanese and Korean, of course neither has English but they were sent to me as samples/promo copies so who cares. If you REALLY want it I can add the sub's and re-author it. Personally, I wouldn't bother. I watched maybe 25 minutes and it didn't look too promising.
As for hidden blade, I agree it's a good film and much like Twilight but I guess that was expected. I like Twilight better...you?

Yeah.. TTS was brilliant IMO. Some would maybe have a problem that it wasn't really a regular sword flick, but I loved it. I really liked Blade, but the fact that it was really similar to Twilight kinda knocked it down a bit for me.
I've heard about Azumi 2. The first one wasn't the greatest thing, but I still enjoyed it. I'll just watch 2 and let it be what it is. Yeah, fuck dropping the subs in. Not worth it on something shitty.
What's hot right now MoSS? It's been awhile since I've picked up anything. I think the last thing was House of Fury awhile back.
