Kanye's "Good Life" (late pass related)

Come on people. Is this not some musical crack or what? I haven't been this hooked on a tune since I don't know that Boniqua morena ish by Big Pun. I mean I liked this on entourage, I liked this when I peeped it on dub's blog, I plunked down my virtual 99 cents and bought this itune, and it's getting me through writing this chapter on 24 and detainees. Whatever, I know the rapping sucks. I understand the entire conceit, I know I am being manipulated. But this is Kanye's gift. He takes that song we all loved back in the day and then finds the best 10 seconds and loops it professionally. Add that T-pain dude, the post-9-11 Roger? I don't know. The ex-socialist in me should hate this. It's about getting on TV, snakes on a private plane and ferraris. Here's the wierd thing. The poorer the country, the more people like this sort of thing. Just saying. Anyway, this is going to be an international sensation. This is going to be bigger than Celebration by Kool and the Gang, a song apparently influenced by the Koran. Tell that to all the people dancing to it at Bar Mitzvahs. Just give into Kanye's power. He's like Marlo, he's inevitable. I can't hate the dude. No he's not Rembrandt. He's Berry Gordy. "Better than the life i lived when I was gonna go crazy!." What is that? Is this getting heavy club rotation? Oh and Mack. I am Eli the prophet.

Did I mispell that word? I'm going on phonetics here, cause Spanish is a pretty easy language to spell. But you know that song, Not a player, with that great hook and the singing at the end. Good Life is that kind of song.
The kind of song to be overhyped by cheese puffs?
He needs practice channeling his Puerto Rican rage.
The initial post is so full of locations I don't know where to begin.
If you don't like the boniqua song you might be an autobot. Come on dude. It's an instant hook. It's what pop music is all about. I got Wayne Shorter sides for dayz. I love serious music too. I'm just saying, credit where it's due. Kanye is something for the whole family. He's the disneyland of hip hop.
It's "boricua".
Boniqua sounds morena.
Thank you. I just got boniqua into my head all these years and thought that was the lyric. This explains a lot of bizarre looks I got in 1998 when asking for the boniqua song.
You should've just asked for the "it's your birthday" song.
Musically, I like Kanye alright. I'm just not into overhyping the already-overhyped.
And calling him the "disneyland of hip hop" does not help.
But that's alright. Plaese to continue enjoying what you like and plaese to continue letting people know what you like.
Yes, as in Boniqua Applebottoms.
I'm a big fan of this track and really trying break it when I play it out even though everyone's stuck on "Stronger" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing", even though I notice people can't even rap the hooks, much less the verses. Anyway, I'm still trying to figure out T-Pain's hook on "Good Life". I think it this makes sense that he would say: "I'm about to get on this TP[/b] mama, I'ma-I'ma put shit dowwwn." TP as in toilet paper. I saw it quoted as saying "TV[/b]" with lyrics that I looked up on the innanest, but who knows. Why would you put shit down on this TV, and not TP? Just makes sense to me.
The video is cool, even though it's Justice's "D.A.N.C.E." part deux.
DAMN YOU.
i almost spat water out at my computer screen.
That song is "in the club" and in my book it's ehh. Big Pun however kills it on don't want to be a player. And I hate to admit this but I also like the following songs.
1) Mo Money Mo Problems
2) Hey Mr. DJ by Zhane
3) Kissing Game HiFive
4) The pretty brown eyes song I think by mint condition
5) Hey DJ by World Class Wrecking Crew
6) Insane in ther membrain by Cypress Hill
7) Let's Wait a While--Janet Jackson
8) Let's Hear it for the Boy---Deniece Williams
9) I just wanna stop--Gino Vanelli or whatever that dude's name is
10) Flirt--R. Kelly sans public announcement
You wanna know why? Because I like music. I am not above the fray in some sort of high art taste bubble. I'm down here on the ground making real world moves listening to music with the rest of the people.
HUGE
though I constantly singing "Wait till I get my money right" since I got a bullshit raise
YES.
Of course I like Pop Bottles and Hood Figga.
I like people saying what they like.
this dude is a riot. more posts from u plz
Like Uniqua from the Backyardigans. She sounds morena as well.
An ongoing joke with DJs is that when people come up to request "In Da Club," they call it "The Birthday Song" or "50 Cent--It's Your Birthday" or something like that. Just FYI.
Also, I thought the "Still not a Player" remix was cool, but I thought the original "I'm not a Player" was fan-fucking-tastic. Dude said some insanely funny shit, and he was rapping his ass off while doing it. That hook was pure gold unto itself.
i play the og way more than i should, considering it came out 10 years ago. the best line is at the end when he says "is it alright if i come over there and sing to you" - Eddie Murphy stand-up fans should get the reference.
