During a painful garage sale diggin' day (my comrade caught a Ben&platano LP + Vannier l'enfant assassin des mouches test press in front of my nose..) I saw the light and decided to grabbed the entire (minus 2) LOUEZ DIEU 45 serie ("praise god" serie for the non-french speaker) and the 4 "Temoin De.." collection. Added to the very cool cover art design, some of these 45 got some great pop/jazz music with artists such as JEF GILSON, LES CAPRESSES or BERNARD GERARD, mixed with religious christian chant and chorus. You also have some tasty breaks here and there! and show me some of your weird cover art/disturbing subject related serie of records!

This is the nearly impossible-to-find Jean Claude Vannier instrumental LP, especially in a garage sale with ben&platano on the same awful crate (PEER I hate you). A well known euro holy grail very similar to Melody Nelson, more weird with some incredible music concrete FX. Serge Gainsbourg wrote the concept of the record, as it's a concept album / imaginary soundtrack. The good fellows in B-music released a very nice reissue of it.

he produced melody nelson (vannier), but personally I find the l'enfant album to be a little overrated, doesn't have the same sound as nelson whatsoever, was pretty dissapointed when I finally heard it...
I agree that it's not the same sound - it's a great record, though. I think I might even like it a little more than Melody Nelson for bug-out value.
I love the covers of the MPBC series, even though most of them are pretty weak fusion. The Djalma Correa one is good though.
That's exactly what I would like to see. That MPBC serie is killin' it.
Prospective is also one of the few stuff I collect moslty for the high level cover design of it. But I forgot Jean Cohen Solal "Les Shadoks" was released on that label!
Anyone else with Musique concrete cover art? This is often spectacular..
