My mailing list broke Gmail (advice needed)

Some of you may know that I send out an email whenever I'm running a new auction. The problem is gmail only lets you send out about 500 emails a day and at this point my list is quite a bit longer than that. For folks who have mailing lists, what email programs are you using to handle the volume? Hoping to find something that's simple, reliable and hopefully free...
