Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings. Preferably a Choral version.

And the Irish classic Danny Boy does me in because it played at my grandfather's funeral. Goosebumps b/w misty eyes.

"Mississippi You're On My Mind" by Stoney Edwards...which is basically a guy getting homesick for the South, but when he starts talking about the "urban heat" of the city, you can cut the tension with an axe.

sure about that, it was on his live and bootleg schitt, but never his mainstream releases.

this coming from a man from Boston checking Soulstrut while visiting in the UK. "Maybe there are record guys like me out there who understand the thirst for vinyl and knowledge beyond breaks. A a secret society or something like that. I have no friends". And yes - it's a bonafide real Live Convention 82. Vinyl isn't in the mintiest of shape - but realer than your David Mancuso blow-up doll.

the Ben E tune that gets me is "On the Horizon"...it's a pretty sweet song but damn the music is just so ominous.

"A Change is Gonna Come" and "Strange Fruit" are the other 2 that come to mind immediately.

also, Walter Jackson- "What Would You Do"
