    All I know (besides the history of the Big Red Machine) is that Joe Morgan is one of the prime examples of the pigheadded MLB HoF voter. Morgan is known in sportswriting circles for his ego. He's not only been said to have proclaimed himself the greatest 2nd Baseman to play the game, but also publicly denigrated Ryne Sandberg's Cooperstown credibility and, despite Morgan's seat on the Hall committee, skipped Sandberg's induction ceremony.
