I just got 5 LPs of his and I am completely in love with the Afro/Latin/60s Soul vibe. If anyone help me out with other artists along these lines, it would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

bah. enough of this snobbish -use the SEARCH- posts ..that's ........

gawd...c'mon after all dude didn't ask how to convert WMA to mp3 ...

for threads like these, ther should be room for 6 or 7 serious replies on soultrut

instead here it comes a fella askin help on the latin bit and he 's slammed with the "USE-SEARCH-BUTTON" end-of-the-story answer.

SOULSTRUT: few yeards ago this board was SERIOUSLY more music oriented than today

Nowadays, youngsters and oldsters changed direction : it's becoming a rule that all NFL or Sneakers threads go :5pager: all the time

and finally, before bataan I would go for Pucho or Tjader....

Well i had obviously already searched the forums for mongo all the way out to the last year, and there is little to nothing about him other than weekend finds/whats on my platter. I had never even ventured into the reviews section short of the first page. Thanks for bringing light to the situation.

  • Mongo is great, especially late 60's early 70's records...
If you like Mongo's music check frst all Willie Bobo (most similar I think)
then Ray Barretto & Candido and then go to explore everything with word
"boogaloo" in title of song or album ,)
