Just did this one. A little rough and it was a hard one to make. it felt like the run it on down mr dj instrumental changes pace a little or something so i had to chop it up a lot. Im still new at these let me know what you think.
( if that is what you call it I don't know I just threw on a favorite random rap beat with some commercial shit from a few years back, a few years back...I didn't really know how to use my mixer properly at this point...whatever)
Anyways, Since its all I got from days past and im pretty sure its somewhat on time here is my first re-mix?:
nah holmes, I've played your signs joint out a few times! You sent that to me a while back...it's dope. Will peep the others. Def. feeling a lot of these in this thread. Tommy, your jam turned out really good man...the motown stuff is delicate to work with but that refix is quite musical.
I've been on remix hiatus all month, but I've managed to make a bunch of live blends for NOTR tonight...some of which may turn into edits later.
This thread has officially melted my face! That Body Work mix is AMAZING, Herm, your Messy Marv remix is ridiculous, that Stevie Wonder shit is giving me neckpain as I type!
Wow, people!
Thanks to all of you for bringing some sun out on in my mind on this rainy day that is part of a 3-week rainy period.
THE TUNES IN THIS THREAD ARE INSANE!!!! had them on my mp3 player all day
Here's my contribution. I like these threads. When you posted this one last night I fired up pro tools and made this one. I had thought of the idea before, but this post made me finally get to work on it. This is just a rough edit of it. i'll probably keep cleaning it up a bit and maybe sequencing it a bit more (especially the end), but here's what I made last night.

thanks guys. Yeah, it's grown on me too. I liked it when I made it, but I've now gotten to take myself out of the editing/looking at the screen process and have been able to listen to it normally. Not the most complicated edit I have ever done, but I think it works and it's got a nice happy feeling to it. I'm happy with it.
and yes, there are some talented people on this message board.

dude this has gotten a serious reaction every time i've played it. first because heads think it's young folks, and again once they hear the temptations.

double whammy!
fooled me thinkin' it was a copy of the diplo remix at first. nice job.
T*mmy, heres one i did with the temptations acapella:
SLAPS for CENTURIES
Tom, that one is nice too. I like how those acapellas are missing some of the backup vocals and often leave out the most famous or stand out parts (or hooks) of the songs. It kind of gives the songs a new feel. I also like that you said Slaps for centuries because that was a slapper AND that shit had some mighty slap bass in it. I always like your music.

You guys have all motivated me to start trying out my own. Here's a few I've done so far:
Messy Marv - Get on My Hype (Herm's Disco Sideshow Mix)
Snoop Dogg ft Charlie Wilson & Justin Timberlake - Signs (Herm's Metrosexual Soft Hooper Do-Over)
Gladys Knight & The Pips - If I Was Your Woman (Herm's Grits 'N Grief Mix)
(posting this with the full title in case you guys missed it .)
I'd appreciate some feedback if you get a chance!

P.S. Where's P-Ro?!
Yay! If you do, that'll be a first for me!
