Aiiight, growing up my pops turned me on to Mason Williams "classical gas" and Paul Simon "50 ways to leave your lover"...In my early rap period it was Twilight 22 "electric kingdom" and then NWA "st8 outa compton", & then in my later hip hop years it was Pete & CL "troy", & Souls of Mischief "93 'til" Next it would probably be, Bobby Byrd "I know you got soul" & the Mohawks "champ" because they influenced me to be the nerd that I am today!!! All of these songs or works of genius and have influenced more people than I can imagine, I always get a very happy reminiscent feeling when I hear these songs & I can't imagine that I will ever grow tired of any of them!

I obsess over what I call the George Trilogy on the White Album:

    While My Guitar
    Savoy Truffle
    Long, Long, Long

Also, will you ride for the Galaxie 500 version of Ceremony? I will.

  • I've had "White Christmas" stuck in my head since I was 11 (so for like 23 years - no joke).

    Great song.

"Judy In Disguise With Glasses" - John Fred & the Playboy Band
"Walk Away Renee" - Left Banke (don't care for the rest of their stuff, though)
    "Linda Lu" - Ray Sharpe
"Polk Salad Annie" - Tony Joe White
"Twine Time" - Alvin Cash & the Crawlers
"I Hear You Knocking" - Dave Edmunds
    "Kansas City" - Wilbert Harrison
"Treat Her Right" - Roy Head

PLUS: the entire self-titled first album by Moby Grape, which got me through the summer of 1993 and has been a nonstop staple of my life ever since
