    color coordinate your kicks?

    with...?

    The rest of your 'fit.

Possibly your significant other's 'fit, too, if you're stepping out together.

ah, an overall approach. I was thinking shoes and purse, shoes and belt, shoes and jacket, shoes picking up a bit of colour in a pattern...

  • I got down with fashion mainly because of Hiphop (early 80s).

I don't care if I'm disconnected but I'm still rockin' the North Face puffy, Shelltoes, Kangol. Polo or Lacoste.....Clean look.....nowadays, this is

nice, but i hope you got the basics covered. there are very few formal occasions where a seersucker is considered appropriate....not to mention the fact that it is a summer-only suit.

as fucking if. I need new casual attire for about-town romps. What about casual night time events though?
That's my only problem with the sersucker, i'm thinking of rocking this at night but to a casual function.

If you rocked a seersucker it would like your where naked and went to the party with stripes patined on, a tie, and shoes.

I have a very nice mini in white and blue. Can't find a good dress in the material though - it all looks like children's or Amish clothing to me (no offence to the Amish ladies, but you know). A nice take on a tennis dress cut (v-neck, sleeveless, low waist, slight a-line) would be ideal.

you just don't see it as much out here anymore. there is a really dope work clothing store by my flat that has tons of carhartt and dickies. i still rock the carhartt and i know a few heads that keep some carhartt handy but the general hip hop populous isn't really on it any more.

I must confess: I do not actually own this outfit. Nor have I seen it. I have merely heard it described by a fellow SoulStrutter.

seersucker isnt any different than wearing light cotton, its just a summery material. i agree that you shouldnt wear a t-shirt with a suit jacket/blazer because its just not fashionable imo, but i dont know if you will look out of the norm (or anymore so than if you were wearing a cotton suit jacket), since that is a popular style right now.

as far as what pants, i think you could get away with wearing decent fitting dark(ish) jeans...again, not a look i would wear, but its in style.

i also agree that you rbest bet is to wear the suit pants. you can dress it down with the shoes/belt/shirt. wearing khakis or different pants will just make you look like a nerd and unfashionable..and for now, not stylish unless you are going for the country club douchebag look.

    :-/ you misunderestimate me

i understand that there are many kinds of non-jean non-cargo pants, and was merely asking for more specific recommends in the realm of brands and colors

  • not stylish unless you are going for the country club douchebag look.

Isn't any look described herein going to end with "douchebag look"?
