No worries. I just found out about this thing a few minutes ago.

I'll see if soulseek has anything to offer tonight. In my mind i am holding, "Best thing she's ever done" against the Central Reservation album, tall order to fill, but i am sure the results will be worth tracking it down regardless.

  • Fuck callier! great voice and a few dope songs, but his output when considered as a whole can not be described as anything but mediocre. Maybe the mediocrity of his work isnt worthy of a "fuck callier!" but im that type of dude.

its your lucky day, it was sitting on the top in the first box I looked in...
    Beth Orton-Best Bit EP(1998)

I like it the best of all her stuff, because it is very minimal on the ravey, British club culture stuff, not many electronics at all...just guitars, pianos, drums and voices for the most part...

I uploaded that on this site a long time ago. Not a bad "bit" at all.

Thank you! I will be downloading this in like an hour and half once i get out of here.

Did you hear her last album? Stripped down in that just instruments kind of way, real nice stuff. Saw her touring on it last spring and it was a really nice show.

That version of "Lean On Me" (not the withers one) is one of the most beautiful love songs ever. I have turned many prospective newly weds onto this jernt.

    You've seen sad times,
Your eyes have told me so,
    Blue and bad times,
You think that I don't know,
    But there'll be glad times,
    Just you wait and see,
And there'll be a sun rise,
    If you lean on me,
    Said lean on me babe,
    You can lean on me,
I imagine I could comfort you,
    I have forgotten,
The things that you've been through,
    But there's one thing,
On which we can a agree,
    When you're ready darling,
    You can lean on me,
    And the love I bring,
Will grow into a lasting thing,
    Put your heart on wings,
    And set you free,
    And as you rise,
    Up into the clearing skies,
    Maybe you will realise,
    You can lean on me,
    And lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    Lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    Lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    Lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    All your heartache,
    Hidden deep inside,
    So there's no telling,
    How many tears you've cried,
    But like the river,
    Told the weeping willow tree,
I can hold your teardrops child,
    So lean on me,
    And the love I bring,
Will grow into a lasting thing,
    Put your heart on wings,
    And set you free,
    And as you rise,
    Up into the clearing skies,
    Maybe you will realise,
    You can lean on me,
    And lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    Lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    And lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    Lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    And lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    Lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    And lean on me,
    You can lean on me,
    Lean on me,
    You can lean on me.
