I'm still trying to figure out how an alleged 15 year old knows anything about SNES. Shouldn't you be reminiscing about Playstation One or something?
That said, I had Genesis. All my friends had SNES. I was the outcast.
I always dugg 2d, even as a kid I preferred it more then 3d. I played it when I was 4 up to around 12 a lot at my friends house and then got an emulator on my comp so I could play it later in life. The only 3d game I play now is gunzonline. Why? Because you can run on walls, slice batches up with swords, jump off walls and shoot people, do matrix moves and much much more and all for free. And because my friends from Seattle play it. So yah, 2d owns 3d in my opinion.
Anyone here played through Secret of Mana with a friend?
Anyone here played through Secret of Mana with a friend who was a girl?
Anyone here played through Secret of Mana with a friend who was a girl and upon finishing the game, after weeks of sexual tension, you scored?
Right here.
dude.
Im calling bullshit.
There really isn't much I can do to convince you. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of us making out with SNES controllers laying around. We dated for a few months. She wasn't really a gamer but for some reason she had that game as a kid. We basically used that as a means to hang out since we didn't have any mutual hobbies. I had an office on Campus with a TV, SNES, VHS player and all this shit for me to just use when I was stressed out. So, twice a week after class we'd play the game for a few hours and go for dinner. It was cool. You'd be surprised the amount of half-decent conversation you can get while playing a game like that.
She was really fly too. I'll see if I can dig up a picture when I'm at home.
This being said, with enough confidence and charm, you can get anyone to do practically anything (man or women, nerd or non-nerd). I impart this piece of wisdom out there for all the aspiring nerd mack little dudes, it can be done.
Math, video games, records, horror movies on VHS, they can all be used to pick up ladies (or men, if you are a lady or swing that way).
Yeah this is really amazing. I played it just a year ago all the way through. What other 2d game allows you to fight old women and men in shark suits and business men and hippies? This game is awesome beyond words because it combines pure comedy with solid solid gameplay and had a new take on rpg.
earthbound and supermetroid are about the dopest games ever. cant believe i forgot those. remember staying up late with friends and crushing those games over uncountable amounts of beer and pot.
I think Ill need to play this game but Earthbound was diff. You fought soft drinks as I remember and a bunch of other whack shit. I think Ill need to play it again.
Mario Kart, that's one of the most fun games I can ever remember playin.
word that was my shit. for me, mario kart is to the SNES what 007 was to the 64. both consumed so many hours of my life when I could have been hustling on the blcok making cheddar or committing myself to learning a worthwhile hobby or trade. and yet somehow it was worth it.

OH. I thought you meant like when you were 13 or something. The fact that you were in college totally changes the story. never mind.

if you replace "old women, men in shark suits, business men, and hippies" with "thieves, crack heads, pimps, and sex addicted clowns"
