scanning lp jackets

since my little all-in-one only has a surface of 8 by 11,i was wondering what the best way of doing this was?for now, its a hassle. (scanning half at a time)

at the record store I worked for:

you lose like 1/4" on 2 sides because it's not quite 12"
across, but the next closest scanner that has these kind
of dimensions is over $800. They work pretty well, although
the first one I had was replaced after around a year, the second
one lasted for over 3 and was still going when I left the job.
so i was hoping to spend nothing.
but i guess $200 isnt the end of the world.
i'll also give the first option a try as well.

Works alright, scanning quality isn't too great but it's workable in Photoshop, plus anything else that size and up is crazy pricey.
Another option, PS has a good photostitch script if you don't mid scanning every LP cover twice.
and, if you don't already have one, a tripod.
