how to make tracks of a long audio file?

what's a good program to slice a long ass wav or mp3 in separate tracks withou losing continuous play. for mixtapes. splicing a long mix in to separate tracks for cd burning.

    any wave editing program. if on a pc, soundforge is one of the best. you chop it up, save each file individually, then you burn your disc using the "disc at once" function so as not to leave spaces between the tracks.
