There's this All Music if it's any good to you.

And for what it's worth, I only have one LP on Perception, James Moody "The Teachers" really good record though. Bought it after reading one of Motown's reviews off this site!

    Astrud Gilberto
Been meaning to pick this one up.
    Shirly Horn
I've got this one in the store right now. Pretty nice, but some songs are too laid back for me.

listening to J.C.- Life right now. Cool wah guitar, hippy folk kind of vibe (AP, is this your bag?), a bit over the top with the vocals/lyrics.

Yeah, it's pretty laid back, but actually really nice after listening to a lot of more in your face stuff. For me it's worth it for "Where are you going?" + the whole B-side. The dynamic range is pretty awesome too, a very live-sounding recording.

    J.J. Jackson

  • I can't find it right now, but I have a sweet soul group 45 by The Eighth Generation (or something like that) on Perception.. Kind of sounds like Foster Sylvers.

Now what about Perception subsidiaries Today and Dwarf?

Ask Jimmy Curtiss himself. I've done my work for the day.

Any additions to the Perception LP discography are welcomed.

I guess Perception was trying to get some kind of American Indian Invasion going, 'cause they had another artist of that extraction named Floyd Westerman (whose first album, as you can see in the discog, was called Custer Died For Your Sins).
