Is there a bootleg of Ike Turner-Black Man's Soul floating around ? From the seventies. I have a couple copies and someone told me they are bootlegs. One with the black cover. Thing is they are old and have ringwear. It does seem like they could be, the inside of the cover is white, not paste on cardboard. The funny thing is all the copies of the black covered one that I've ever seen have that look. It seems hard to believe that I would have encountered bootlegs five or six times over the years and no "real" ones. I've had two cloud cover ones and they were both paste on cardboard.dave

It's not a bootleg. It's the first pressing.

There have been a couple of threads on this over the years... basically, it's the first press, maybe a promo, hence the flimsy quality. There is another Pompeii release that has a similar thing. b/w vs. color. It's just how they did things I guess?
