i like money power respect but i don't think i would say their other work is awful, just that i stopped caring. I enjoyed parts of jada's first album and generally don't mind styles' singles.
The lox are great, their albums suck. They need to avoid Swizz and any other casio beats at all cost. Mostly everything they've rapped on that was a grimy sample (i know i know it's 2007) has been great... make that very good.
some of their best songs ("Wild Out") are with swizz
wild out was a one month hit with no replay value. When they were on joints like benjamins, 24 hours, get at me dog, etc.. they were way better. Not saying some keyboard stuff is okay. They just had albums full of it and nobody liked it.

You kidding me? Jada & Styles on some back & forth shit are among the best duos out there. Sheek is alright, forunately he doesn't ruin the chemistry, and he'll come with a slick line now and then. definitely a big fan of them as a unit, though.
They got mad joints. 'The Essence' off the Alchemist album was dope as is that solo joint he did for Jada, 'We Gonna Make It'. Kiss murdered it on that Gangstarr joint. Styles P got great character. They ain't got albums but which rappers do nowadays. fuckit.

Yo,
I never felt those dudes' music. There were better artists around that overshadowed them.
1. Jada's "Champ Is Here" Mixtape with Green Lantern is classic material. 2. Styles P is a genuniely good rapper. 3. Sheek Louch is a genuinely bad rapper that I absolutely love to listen to. He's freakin' hilarious to me. Which isn't to say I like him ironically. 4. J-Hood is awful.
They ain't got albums but which rappers do nowadays. fuckit.
well, I think we can all agree a lot of today's albums could stand to cut some fat. but at the end of the day there are plenty of rappers making bunches of good songs at once (albeit with some unneccessary shit thrown in.) these jokers on the other hand were never capable of making more than one semi-decent song in any given half year period.
Could be a stretch here, but can anyone help me identify an oldddd LOX track, perhaps from a mixtape over a really cheery/uppity beat? I keep hearing the Fast Life beat and that kinda whistly synth from the beginning of De La Soul's Keepin the faith, but I know it wasn't either of those. Very vague, sorry.

They've made lots of good tracks. Just don't look for them on the official releases.
