computer to television?

anybody know how i can display a computer screen onto a television?i got a macbook, (thanks for the suggestions everyone) and i want to display movies and such onto the tele.anybody got the knowledge?

    Apple Mini-DVI to Video adapter on Apple store, that and a standard video cable, and a mini stereo to RCA cable...
