USB 2?

so i ordered one of those lacie rugged HDs only to find it doesnt have firewire. i did an "about this mac" to see if my usb ports woul support USB2, but all it says is USB. how can i tell?

They're USB 2.0 if your mac was made any time in the last couple of years.

It'll still work whatever USB you have - 2 is just faster.

i need it to be faster. it's for Microwave use. if i plug it in, i can't return it.

the computer is 2 1/2 years old. 12" powerbook g4.
