Other than audacity, what is a good program for recording vinyl onto a mac?I've been using audacity successfully, but today it has crashed every time I try to record with it. I think it has something to do with my m-audio firewire interface, despite the fact its worked in the past.

    peak.

As a guy who was schooled in ACID and Cool Edit, I found Peak to be a bit Mysterious. I'm using Amadeus right now. Simple, user friendly and gets the job done.

haha. I use Final Vinyl with the iMic USB hookup. I have no problems with the results. The common complaint with the program is that you cant zoom in, edit and play without zooming out beforehand. Otherwise, you'll cause processor overload, unlike Cool Edit and such. You just have to get used to that.

I use sound Studio with the iMic USB hookup. I have no problems with the results, but I want to have a more flexable app.

    Yup, Intel only.

    No universal version planned.

    It's..... the future!

I have an Intel based Mac (MacBook Pro Core2Duo) ... the new version of Peak works perfectly (at least the free demo does).
