finally picked up a copy of this yesterday. Great! D. Boon was that guy. "I Felt Like a Gringo" acoustic style is that good shit. "Maybe Partying Will Help" always gets me as a title...bestest song title ever. Watt is only string poppin' bass player that doesnt suck nor sound like blackboard fingernails to my ears (save your Larry Graham, Stanley Clarke stuff...dont care)

On paper, that band should have sucked(3 doofus guys from a millitary town, into BOC and CCR, with a finger-popping bassist and a singer, but instead they were one of the greatest of the decade, hands down.

finally got around to watching this. so much great footage! i never knew there was a video for 'this ain't no picnic'. george hurley on a superficial level looks like he would be a gorilla over the drums but he is so freaking nimble.

i never knew there was a video for 'this ain't no picnic'.

They actually used to show it on MTV in the 80's ... during
"The Cutting Edge" at least ... and yeah, this movie was great -
I saw it in the theater last year when it came out. One band
that truly deserved a documentary, I hope it brings renewed
    interest to their albums.

  • Wonderful documentary. Saw it when it was playing in small theaters a year or two ago.

    R.I.P.
