Wax Poetics - West Africa or Ethiopia?

Did Wax Poetics ever do an article on West African funk/soul/jazz (like the stuff that Frank has been blessing us with?) Also, did WP ever do an article about "Ethiojazz" stuff like Hailu Mergia, Mulatu, etc.?If not, could someone get on that chop chop?

    #8 had an article called "funk and afrobeat in '70s africa"

    i dunno if it was geared to west africa in particular, but lotsa names like: geraldo pino, poly rythmo, fela, etc...

    they did a profile on mulatu in an issue last year. good interview, as i recall.

    If I remember correctly the article alluded to a pending collaborative release feat. Quantic and Mulatu. Does anyone know if anything ever came of that?
