"Dope" is a dope word. I'll never stop saying it. I'll also continue using "word". It is awesome. Deal.

  • i think i only use dope when i'm talking about a hot girl. "she's dope".

for whatever reason, i use "nice" all the time. not like "niiiice", but "nice." i think it's because people are always telling me about cool shit they did, instead of vica versa, so i'm just not that enthused.

    "oh, you got a 20k christmas bonus.....nice."

I never heard that one growing up in LA and TX, but my wife is from Wisconsin and I've heard her refer to that one before. Rep your regional "cool" synonym!

  • northeast/new england: wicked.

i hate it; sometimes i say it.

    wicked awesome

  • ill.

  • the thing about 'dope' is that it is often a substitute for the "ultimate" thing, state of being, Godliness whatever

"everything is sooooo dope" ---15 year old kid on LSD for the first time

"that is the dopest thing I've ever heard in my life" ---18 year old kid discover ing freestyle fellowship's 'way cool' in 2007.

'this is the dopest music ever made. EVAR' ---any beathead/digalot hearing stark for the first time on Dope.

if God is everything, and everything is Dope, thus, God=Dope.

Dope should always have a capital D

    far fuckin' owt
    ya dare
    haay

  • if you are not E-40 or in Wu-Tang and are using slang to try to impress people, you're probably going to take an L. Still, dope got fucked up because of fools saying it wrong. It is properly pronounced with a hard of a "D" sound as possible. One click away from beatboxing. However, I still say awesome, which I am a little ashamed of. I'm trying to cut it out of the vocabulary, along with psyched, which is getting replaced with hyped or amped.

"Dope" is a dope word. I'll never stop saying it. I'm a 32 year old white man. I had UTFO's first album on cassette. Fuck you.

I'll also continue using "word". It is awesome. Deal.

I got a friend who says "Gross" and "Disgusting" a lot.

As in "Yeah, he play keys on that and dude is gross."

"I heard the new album and that shit is disgusting."

    Is this NY?

As far adjectives go I'm sticking with "hot," "retarded," "ridiculous," "nice," "way nice," "way good," "rad," and when describing synth "gnarly."

It seems I have semi-recently phased out "dope." "Tight" just sounds silly.

    Nouns, "dude" isn't going anywhere.
