funk get boring fast & then you need a new funk 45.
its's like crack.
I agree, except for the part about getting boring. I don't think crack gets boring. You just develop a taste for rarer and rare distillations.

There's a first time for everything I guess
or this late pass item...
I was at the Graveyard with the one DCastle like 3-4 years ago, looking for whatever type of nonsense I was into at the time, Fire Eater or something probably. Just as I was about to settle up he walked over to me and, with a knowing look, placed a copy of that record in my stack. That's my dude right there.
This is probably my favorite of the moment. Compilation of garage/soul done by kids at a Springfield , Illinois Junior Achievement center. Covers of Funky Broadway, Different strokes, etc. Completely awesome.

That would go nicely with my recent b/w album covers theme i've had going.

Word. The album is called Zebra Selection, presumably b/c it contains covers from both black and white bands.
I picked up a clean copy of Charlie Earland "Black Drops" today for 4bucks. I like it. I've been passing on this type of funky jazz affair, but this is decent.
