And obviously Birchmount (a street in Scarborough), Paragon, Sound Canada, Hlaf Moon, Summer Records, Jam Cam, Tropical, Cobra, London, Transworld...and a billion other labels I could boringly rhyme off for hours.
Boola Boola, Brown Door, Stone Flower, Bay Town, Loadstone, Music City, et al are obvious choices for the Bay Area, but I think WEE reflects the diversity of the Bay best; despite a relatively small catalog, Lonnie Hewitt produced latin, soul, psych (mad river!), jazz, and funk releases all on one weird little label.
For myself in Chicago Twinight, and Dakar remind me where I am.
I'm in the same city - for me it's Curtom (Curtis Mayfield owned it - say no more) and Chess (for covering all the bases; soul, blues, jazz and gospel).

Motown = Detroit
and
Philadelphia International = Philly
?
I'd go with Arctic or Gamble for Philly...
I vote for Arctic, although Panic Buttons' "O-Wow" is great, too.
Find the label that puts out Limp Bizkit...
if any NOLA record were to encapture the SF vibe it would be:
oh yeah, can't forget the Castro...
