mackie srm-450 troubles

I bought two mackie srm-450's about 8 months ago and since I've had them both of them have gone out on me. The first one went out within a month or two. First the little blue light in the front went out but it kept working. A couple days later it stopped playing music despite the fact that it had power and showed a signal. The same thing happened with the second one recently, except the blue light was dead for a lot longer (a couple months) before it stopped playing music. Mackie did replace my first one without asking questions, so I am sort of concerned that this is a problem that they've been experiencing a lot. I treat them pretty well, but take them to my gig every thursday, so they do get bumped around a little bit.Has anyone had a similar problem? I'm just worried that this is going to happen when I don't have the protection of their warranty.
