I've got a bunch of 45s that are just stored in shoeboxes for now, but it's becoming kind of an eyesore. I have decent shelving for my LPs and 12"s, but can anyone in here recommend shelving or even good storage ideas for 45s?

go to some old school record stores and ask if the have any 45 cases. Im trying to start collect them. Most of the owners look at me like Im nuts and sell em to me for .75 to a $1.

(a good gift idea too...fill that shit up with 45's)

as a lot of shops use these as well, you can often buy them on location. $4/box at my usual spot. what i use.

  • Ikea makes a box that fits 45's perfectly. It probably holds at least 250.

    Click the second size option.

Someone posted an IKEA item a while back ... some sort of small dresser or something. It had drawers that were perfect for 45s. Maybe is was this but I'm not sure. Might be worth a trip to IKEA to take a look around. Small boxes end up piling up everywhere.

boxes that hold printer paper works like a champ. If you know anyone who works in an office, you could get them for free.

Are those Ikea ones cardboard? Only, I am sure they are the ones I used to have in my garage and they soak up the damp and got all funky in the worst sense. If you are storing these dry, then I'm sure you'll be fine.

I haven't got another 44 storage recommendations for you, sorry.

No they are wood, but I would never store records in a damp place.
