    Sween,

You do shit for FIOS correct? Hows the upgrade going? It's nice to see someone is starting to offer some decent bandwidth out there.

  • You people who do not have a landline are really putting yourselves out there.

You probably also don't have jugs of purified water, or rechargeable flashlights
    or generators.

The corner stores will close, the satellites go lame.

Water supply attacks, satellite overload, earthquakes.

    Something slightly beyond Netflix.

I have a rechargeable emergency worldband radio + flashlight, extra blankets * hatts,
beef jerky, oats, boots, tents, collection of knives/handtools, and a harwired-to-wall
landline, who do you want to roll with, you or me?

what kind of hats though? i wanna look stylish when chaos ensues. also this flashlight...is it the shake it () to charge it up joint or the battery jumpoff? i can provide a small battery powered walkman with built in speakers and an endless supply of mixtapes, 2 cases of arrowhead water, a big bottle of dynamo juice, extra socks and boxcutters and a kick ass dog that's good at smelling out things.

let's get this disaster plan money.

In the event of a permanent emergency, I will pay mercenaries to take these things from you for my benefit.

You could die waitting for 911 on a cell, as 911 calls from cell phones go thru the state, then county, then city.

Youll get transfered 2 maybe 3 times before you get to the right person.

You can get a land line for as little as 9 bucks a month, keep it.

Where I live, an open unpaid phone line will call 911
but nothing else, so you don't even need to pay anything
to have that issue cleared up.

But fuck that anyway, cause you know

The day I got cable internet I dropped the land line,
    shit is mad redundant.

first off if youre worried about taps, youre doing dirt AND youre still talking on the phone then youre obviously not cut out for any real grimey work. stick to being a runner...

landlines are nice for me when im buying records. i give my landline number out to folks who dont need my cell number. so when i post up flyers about old records i only use my landline. its also just a local 415/510/408... bay area and norcal. anything long distance (or south of fresno) i just use my cell which gets cheaper rates.

i use my landline everyday. however im only paying like $30 a month or less. not $70... change your plan.

well really the $70 includes fees for a service visit and they spread the payment over 6 months or some schitt, i forget... so my actual monthly is still something like 55 bucks i guess. its not like 55 bucks is gonna make or break me, but STILL... i barely use this batch! plus i'm cheap
when i got this plan it seemed like the cheapest option... i still need to be able to make long distance calls whenever i need to, need the voicemail and call waiting, etc. I dunno, maybe i could just check out the plans again and get a better rate... BUT still from what i gather i really have no need for this batch. :so unnecessary:

thanks as always for your educated as well as uneducated insights, soulstrut! you're a pal and a confidante (oops, confidates are just women, right? well, you are a pal anyway )

Not cancer but there are studies coming out suggesting that it does effect the verve and quality of your wigglers due to excessive heat on the sack.

Personally got a landline for interweb connection but it remains unplagged 99% of the time as it gets more spam than my email.

Haha I've often wondered about that when the your machine is resting on your knees. My neighbour is a radiation specialist - she told me she'd have ten microwave ovens in her house before she'd consider getting a mobile phone...
