Ha - yeah, I remember going to Funcoland around 1994 or so and having a "Nintendo Revival" - spent like $40 and the next day my friends and I were having huge RC Pro Am, Excitebike and California Games tournaments and reliving our teenage years...

Why no Zelda I?
That's a pretty big hole if you ask me.
For some reason, Zelda's also missing from my "complete" NES ROMs collection
No it is there, filed under "Legend of Zelda, The"
The timing of this thread is kind of strange: I was JUST i mean JUST looking at Nintendo games on ebay and then came to this thread!! Psychic.
When I was in Korea a few years ago I went to some video game alley with my cousin and got those GameBoy carts that have 20 games on them...I need one of those w/classic NES games (Zelda, Gyromite, etc) on a GBA cartridge to play on my DS!!!

i've gone on funcoland binges. it's so easy when there are games for like $1.99.
do you know of any equivalent to funcoland? i need to know if i am missing any tangible retailers that sell used nes games.
:melt: so this auction is at $31,000 with 4 days left.
are people "bungee bidding"?
how much is something like this actually worth, i wonder
NES has steady been going up in value over the past 10 years...when I was heavy into it (96-02), it was mostly atari dudes who had crossed-over into NES collecting. Now that the "80's generation" or anyone old enough to remember NES has grown up, they also have more disposable income...which has driven up the prices on the common but good games and the stupidily rare games.
The true NES collection (every game factory sealed) was sold to a museum for 28k...about 4 years ago.
I sense some shill bidding...36k is steep for a massive yet non-complete collection.

funcolands around here all turned into the same thing, just with a different name
Video Games Etc. GameStop Gamers
NES carts arent horribly expensive now, but they have definitely gone up since i was in middle school. the games i want the most are usually the most expensive too (prince tomato, maniac mansion...)
really? other than ROB and the wireless thing, most of these accessories are pretty easy to come by... i had those turbo controllers when i was a kid, and i have an advantage in the box...my NES was bundled with the power pad and i have the gun in both colors...i think they made the power glove for Genesis too, because my friends' has the wrong plug.
theres a band called The Advantage that does a lot of quality NES covers. anybody here up on them? i listen to them a lot at work, really good shit.
i call bullshit too. I think this is like the velvet underound acetate. it's doing the viral email rounds and I bet someone is fucking with them. My girlfriend just emailed it to me and she has no interest in Nintendo games, so it's probably being posted all over the place.
I say it goes insanely high, gets some sort of online news coverage, winning bidder backs out, get's reposted and sells for something like $15,000.

never seen half of these.

But what good would that do? All praise to Mappyland, Goonies II, and YO! NOID.
i wish funcoland were still around so i could cop some of these on the cheap. i need river city ransom in my life

if serg reviewed video games, this would be how he did it. this shit is funny.
Hilarious. And that describes why I don't play games in general.
HAHA! this guy is funny.

thats because he only included licensed games in the auction, most of these carts werent licensed by nintendo.
