this one is kicking my ass right about now...trumpet player/wedding singer lookin guy from burbank + studio band and arranger lon norman do eight numbers in various styles from mellow vocal jazz ("it's impossible" and "the sun shall rise again"), to upbeat and soulful takes on "MaCarthur park" and "Sweet Caroline" to a couple of funkier cuts ("shaft" and "kristy"). I'm diggin the whole lounge vibe throughout the lp...sounds like it could have been recorded in a casino or a restuarant...seems like dude even has some street cred...what are ya'll folls feelin in the lounge/vocal department??????

That's funny...Toluca Lake is off the 134 fway on the way to Ameoba records in LA. I wonder if that venue is still open
In a related lost venue note, anyone been to that blues club in Arcadia. I just noticed it the other day. I wonder if any good blues acts tour anymore or if it's just BLUES-HAMMER-watered-down-crap.
Lounge prog... It shouldn't exist, but it does.

You should share that with the world!
