LaVice & Company - Thoughts Were The Days

I believe this is an LP track only, from the 'Two Sisters of Baghdad' LP, which you'll need deep pockets to get hold of.

This applies to the O.V. Wright, as well - for some reason
it goes for over $200 while his just as good and more obscure albums
like Nucleus of Soul go for under $100. "Obscure" meaning that
there are a number of tracks on Nickle & a Nail that you are
certainly familiar with and probably have on 45, like "Don't Let
My Baby Ride," "Ace of Spades," "Eight Men Four Women" - while
Nucleus of Soul and even the easily found and cheap Memphis
    Unlimited
have just as much strong LP-based material.
    Having said all that, I wouldn't hesitate to cop N & a N, even
for a high price, if only because every O.V. album on Backbeat
    is always an absolute killer.

I think N&AN cross over to blues while the other titles are of intrest to deep soul collectors. OV Wright on Back Beat =

O.V. Wright on Back Beat is like James Brown on King...something you do NOT think twice about, you just buy. If you're into southern soul verging on blues, then O.V.'s definitive Back Beat sides are what you want.

(At least two of his Hi albums, Into Something (Can't Shake Loose) and The Bottom Line are essentials too, but that's another thread altogether.)
