This is what I got for christmas: I got infested with the idea that all this shit that I do and all these things that I buy don't mean a good god dam thing unless I'm really feeling right about how I am living. My family is healthy and happy. So that's how I am living: really well.
I got a new blazer and a gift cert to a local record store and a book store. Pretty much the perfect gift for me since I like shopping for books and records almost as much as reading and listening to them. This is the first year my fianc?? and I exchanged gifts. Every other year we were getting stuff for other people and not each other because we didn???t have the money. It was nice to buy each other gifts. I think I had more fun buying gifts for her then receiving gifts. I got her some really nice flannel PJs, some gift cards and tickets to see Tan Dun's First Emperor. The met is broadcasting it in HD to movie theaters around the country. It???s a live one time broadcast of it. She has always wanted to go to the met but since we can't afford to go to NY this is the next best thing.
100 dollars from the wife's parents. after xmas was over we headed over to the indian casino because my pal is a blackjack dealer there. walked up to the first dollar slot i saw and put in a dollar and pulled the handle. won 80 dollars! found sam's table and played cards for a while. won about 50 bucks or something like that. it was fun! I never gamble because I never win shit, but this was xmas and we were going to visit sam more than anything, so winning money was just a bonus I guess.
Also I got a "truck it bucket" which is like a rolling thing for all your tools. its cool!
a t-shirt and some pajama pants.
a 150 dollar gift cert for a bed and breakfast. 1000s to choose from or something like that. me and the wife got that from my folks. thats a pretty cool gift. Now we just have to decide where to go.
and by the way, the PSP is fucking awesome. I LOVE IT.
