Total fucking classic. I'm sitting here giggling like hell thinking about the "Putting on the Ritz" scene.

"Try mighty hard to look like Gary Cooper"
    "'ooper DOOper!"

    RIP

  • remember that xfiles episode he was in?
    kicked ass. rip for reals.

  • Seeping in from the laboratory, we HEAR: "MMMMMMmmmmmm!"

Oh, do you like it? I'm not
    partial to desserts, but this
    is excellent.

    IGOR
    Who are you talking to?

    FREDDY
To you! You just made a 'yummy'
sound, so I thought you liked the
    dessert.

    IGOR
    I didn't make a 'yummy' sound --
I just asked what it was.

    FREDDY
But you did -- I just heard
    it.

    IGOR
    It wasn't me.

    Freddy looks at Inga.

    INGA
    It wasn't me.

    FREDDY
Look here - if it wasn't you,
and it wasn't you, and it wasn't
    me...

Yeah that was a great episode. RIP

  • I always thought of him as Wizard, the advice-doling older cabbie in "Taxi Driver." I love that scene in the diner where he's trying to give Travis Bickle some sagely words, but falters and gets flustered. I don't know what it is about it, but to me, it's fine work.

    RIP

  • "When your blue and you dont know where to goto why dont you go where fashion sits"

    PUTIN On thhhhee RIIIIIIIITZZZZZ.

Peter, You made me laugh, Thank you.

    Rest in Peace Friend

This news fucked up my whole day, just like when Richard Pryor Passed.

This is what I also remember him for. He was an underrated dramatic actor.

That was the first role that came into my mind when I saw the thread title too. That and private dick Andy Mast in "Hardcore". I always dug this guy. Whatever movie he was in, he always turned in a solid performance.

    RIP.

I need to pull out the Joe OST again. It's been a while.

i myself always thought of him as Joe, ranting about hippies, liberals, queers, and niggers...

the funny thing is, he always plays these crusty blue collar guys, yet in real life he was a loose dude... john lennon was his best man at his wedding...

my fav role of his is friends of Eddie Coyle, as he plays it super understated and you never cop what his charector's really about til it's too late...

RIP. A good man, a Philadelphian, he will be missed.

Anyone know where I can find a photo of him and John Lennon (if it exists?)

I was just watching this last night. Highly superior to the Johnny depp version. What a sad morning. PB rest in peace.

I just looked it up. Gets the best review out of all the X-Files episodes.

For sure. That was a classic.

    "Can you see the killer?"

"No, just more insight into his personality, which I know you hate."

I think he won an Emmy for that episode.

Yeah.. Bickle then says "That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
    Great stuff.

That x-files was top 3 for sure.
