Digital Video Camera Strut....

I was thinking about getting a new digital video camera. Can I get a decent one for around $500????? Any recomendations???

not Sony. Panasonic or Canon. Panasonic makes nice ones with 3 CCDs. What are you looking for? Just something small and functional?

I want to use it for shooting video of my family. Normal video stuff....maybe a porn from time to time...

I definately don't need a high end camera...just a camera to shoot precious moments.

You can get a pretty good digi cheap, just keep an eye out for a deal. I got a Sony jernt thats does the job and was only 300 bones aus.

The one i was briefly checking out was the sony handycam dvd recorder for about $400...????

If you do any editing, any at all, I wouldn't reccomend a camera that uses DVDs as a storage medium. Highly inconvenient. Stick with miniDV
