water damaged records hot or not?

I say hot if they are cheap!!! Keep passing over them so I have something to buy when I hit the flea markets late. I know from a collectors stand point they are not hot. Listening stand point .....hot...yes?

    the real term should be "liquid damage", but we like to assume it was Evian water flooding a basement what hurt the poor cover.

    CAT PISS DAMAGED is more realistic.

    it's all about the smell. Can't you live with the smell? Take it home with you. More important, can your wife/gf live with that smell? Leave it there.

    it's more common to find good covers with skated records vs good records with bad covers IME. if the record can be VPI'd back to life, always get it.

    I am not down with moldy, water damaged sleeves (emphasis on moldy).
    Water damaged records are ok though.
