I have bought 2 good-ish 45s on this imprint in the last couple of months, were they a cheap jukebox medley label of re-recordings of current hit songs, or an actual functioning label?

Tommy Wills owned the label.
Started in Dayton, Ohio in the early '60s and later moved to Indianapolis.
See also the Juke label.
97% crap, 3% decency.
"kc drive" by tommy wills on juke is part of the 3% ... good track ...
3 percent were mostly custom pressings for other groups unrelated to Tommy Wills: Johnny Holiday, Vondels, Shooting Stars and Spoon come to mind.
My girlfriend just bought a Vondels compilation LP on Rhino only to find it was re-recorded versions
