I like speech defect from sweden. And of course some of the British stuff like Roots Manuva.
Some of the German Hip-Hop is ok: einz zwo, absolute beginner aso, but most of it is crap (Royal Bunker...). If I want to laugh out loud I listen to my Westberlin Maskulin - Battlekings LP.
Taktlo$$ is the illest dude around.

    He can??t rap though.

Promoe is pretty popular in Finland amongst younger hiphop fans, but I can't stand his music at all. Pete Philly & Perquisite is just boring.

Haven't listened to Speech Defect for a few years now, but I remember liking them a bit.

  • Looptroop/ Promoe - ehh. Promoe is a talented guy, and I remember seeing them live quite some years ago and being impressed (not having heard any of their music at that point), but in the end their music does nothing to me.

Most of those DJ Vadim affiliates (like Yarah Bravo) - annoying or uninteresting.

Pete Philly & Perquisite - zzzzzzzzzzz.

Speech Defect - if I wanted to listen to Jurassic 5 or Ugly Duckling, I would-- and the Swedish accents are pretty corny.

Most German rap I've heard gets a thumbs down from me. And not knowing the language doesn't really make me want to go out and get acquainted.

Rodney P, Roots Manuva and all those British guys tend to have a song here and there that's really good.

In general European producers > European rappers.

I forgot to mention some French stuff: MC Solaar did a couple of nice joints and IAM had some pretty nice tunes some years ago.
And regarding German rap, Fanta 4 with their Lauschgift LP did a good job as well. But the current situation of German rap in general is disappointing.
