It's been a minute since I've felt this with a new song, but that bassline in Snoop's "Crazy" (ft Nate Dogg - prod by Fred Wreck)....I swear that shit just washes over me and puts a smile on my face from the first second. I've been stressed lately over some local DJ night bullshit and I swear...having this song on repeat has most definitely helped my outlook.(Doesn't hurt that it comes right after Frequency's DOPE ass track!)http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=0659D62F2CC51011Herm

i love that song ....the perfect "freeway" song

  • the perfect "freeway" song

EXACTLY what I was thinking and EXACTLY where I was when I first heard it. I had that "head bob that would be classified as a dance had it not been for the fact that you can't really shuffle your feet while driving" move going on with a BIG ASS GRIN on my face. Waving to the other cars like life is good.

  • I'd have to say Ramp's "Daylight." A shitty day can turn great when this cut comes on.

  • "We Built this City" makes me want to kill people.

That said, just about any Otis Redding song makes me feel good.

marley's - kinky reggae off of talkin blues...

"she had brown sugar all over her boogawooga"

Even though the vocals at the end get hella strained and dramatic, Daylight is one of my top ten songs I ever got addicted to.

How can a beat so sentimental be so spacey and progged out? I put it there with Ooh Child...

    Dazz Band "Whip It"
    WAR "L.A. Sunshine"
    Brothers Johnson "Strawberry Letter 23"

    that "winter sadness" sample is

  • On the mellow side:

    Four Tops - California Dreaming
Frank Zappa - Twenty Small Cigars

On the very mellow/nostalgic and whatnot side:

James Carr - On the Dark Side of the Street

    On the mellow/stoned/groovin side:

The Pioneers - Papa Was a Rolling Stone

    On the very stoned side:

JK and Company - Fly (even if I don't like the lyrics that much.)

Songs that change my mood no matter what:

    Television - Marquee Moon
Syl Johnson - Sock it to Me
