Next on the reading list for Dreas:

    Jim Bouton's inside-the-60's-Yanks tell-all Ball Four

and then Bill "Spaceman" Lee's left-field classic The Wrong Stuff.

  • nope, i had never heard that, but i figured you guys knew about this.

my dad doesn't know too much about baseball, nevertheless who dock ellis is. he grew up in greece, came to the US with no money, worked at his uncle's fast food restuarant, started his own, and 40 some years later is semi-retired...yet still no time to learn the game of baseball it seems.

i played baseball from 2nd-9th grade.

  • thanks for the recommendations will. i like how amazon.com pairs "ball four" up with the jose canseco book.

on an amazon related note, check this out. my HS math teacher wrote this. i'm anxiously waiting for this too see what dude is really about.

    From the article:

"The Pirates won the game, 2-0, although Ellis walked eight batters. It was the highpoint in the baseball career of one of the finer pitchers of his time, and arguably, one of the greatest achievements in the history of sports.[/b]"

    NO DOUBT!
