The Religious Right down here in the South tried to get porn banned from cable TV.
They argued that "It's bad for the community"......and for some unknown reason we can't use the button that prevents us from being able to see it.

Maybe he'd been here for a minute and I didn't notice, but... in the midst of the HeatRock campaign, where we were watching all these bodies floating on TV all the time and trying to raise money and awareness, I became aware of dude... he started posting all this bullshit about it essentially being the responsibility of those who were in the affected areas to keep themselves safe and that they were SOL. At that point I was enraged (certainly one of the most offensive things I've seen posted on this site) and assumed before was all said and done he would have been banned based on that alone, as the few prior bans were similarly or less obvious.
I'm not familiar with the thread that led to his banning, but considering the fact that he was basically a troll that happened to have a good record collection it doesn't really surprise me that it eventually did go down. I'm not opposed to differing viewpoints on current events or politics - if I was in the mood I read those threads, usually I just ignored them - but his posts were far more geared towards incessant baiting and passive aggression than constructive thought.
