the first record in the second row is

roberto roena #9 on fania from 77'

it has a great track called "los demas" which is in the same vein as that killer track off his vol. 5 lp.

it starts salsa and goes into a funk groove w/ flute and un-credited drumming.pitch it down and you've got a hip hop track.

row 5/ 4th record is reuben blades, i forget the title.

  • Here's a list and some info.
    From L to R:

    Sessions - Library
Dope breakdown of a recording session, lots of dialog and spoken works about records and producing music. Very dope segment on drums with a 30 second drum solo, mid tempo.
    Percussion - Library
Just what it sounds like, full of different percussion instruments, dialog, different styles of drumming, jazz, funk, and rock. Several hip hop freindly drum patterns.
The Equals - Baby i want you back.
late 60's quality rock from london i think.
    Eric Mercury - Electric Blackman
Funky soul music, some Tribe Called Quest samples. Good listen.
Roberto Roena #9 on fania from 77'
    What haze said.
Linda Rich - There's more to life than i know.
Great soft sounding folk songs, got rave reviews on Waxidermy.com
    Guararc - Self Titled
Haven't listened to this one much, latin sound with a little bit of funk flavor.
    Charles Earland
Good late 70's dance/disco. A little too over produced for my tastes.
B.T. Express - Stop and GO
    Classic dance floor funk.
    Deodato - 2001
A collection of some deodato tunes, 2001 and other classics.
Reuben Blades pt 1 on Fania
    Latin
    Musique - Keep on Jumpin'
    Disco/Dance from late 70's
    Bernard Wright - 'Nard
Classic funk. With the track Haboglobotribin that was sampled by Snoop, plus lots of other good tracks.
    Young-Holt Unlimited
    Classic Tracks.
    Mongo Santamaria - El Pussycat
    Danny Seldin - Joyful Noyze
Funk/Blues/Jazz combo with a decent drum break on the last track.
    Upchurch/Tennyson
Guitar player Phil Upchurch leads some mellow soul/funk on the Kudo Label.
    Manchild - Lover and Power
    Moe Kaufman - Curried Soul
Good funky ramsey lewis type funk.
Another Reuben Blades on Fania, part 2 of the series.

Any further details get me on PM. All titles are still up for trade. I have had some interest in Linda Rich and Bernard Wright, but noone has gotten back to me.
