the PRINCE vs MICHAEL PARTY4 year anniversary celebrationSaturday, November 18th @ Madrone Lounge500 Divisadero St. @ Fell, San Francisco, CAparty starts at 9pm / $5 cover / 21+ with ID Prince and associated artists go toe-to-toe on the dance floor against Michael and the Jackson family - this is the ultimate dance party! DJ's Dave Paul and Jeff Harris mix album cuts, remixes, rare tracks and classics from their extensive record collections to battle it out on the turntables. This face-off always promises to be a dance marathon - "Black Sweat" takes a swing at "PYT (Pretty Young Thing)," only to be pounded by "Wanna Be Starting Somethin," which had better watch it's back when "Kiss" comes around.This event was conceived four years by Bomb Hip-Hop who have successfully produced 18 of these parties in San Francisco as well as Seattle, Portland and Bend. Featuring music from Prince, Michael, The Time, The Jackson 5, Sheila E., Janet Jackson, Vanity 6 and many more. Who will win, The Purple One or the King of Pop? Who cares... this is the perfect night out to lounge with your friends, make some new friends, get your drink on, dance your @ss off and celebrate the music of both these pop stars.

    As an extra bonus for all the early birds we are presenting a special happy hour from 6-9pm. "The 80's vs the 90's" with our special guest DJ T-Rock from Los Angeles (1200 Hobos). Free admission and drink specials including $2 well drinks! Then at 9pm we will be launching into the Prince vs Michael event.

    "For four years now, Dave Paul (proprietor of local hip-hop label Bomb Records) has hosted and DJ'ed at the brilliant "Prince vs. Michael Jackson" parties. As selections of hits, rarities, and remixes from both artists are presented over the course of the evening, audience members square off in funky battle, holding signs bearing the mug of their favored entertainer to judge which one is the true king of pop.
