    having grown up in Ecuador... I can say that in South America at least, taking parasite medication once a year is about as common as getting a cold out there. mainly becuase of the tap water. i wouldn't be surprised if a lotta people in the states have them too... it's nowhere near as common to check for parasites here in the USA. and there are some funky burger n taco stands out here. in other countries having "bichos" ["bugs as they call them] is the first thing people may say you have as soon as you have stomach pains n shit... oh... another sign that you have them is if your asshole itches... they like to hang out in there... just thought i'd share that.
