When my lady and I Have Dinner, I mean actually sitting at the dining room table and using placemats, I have been putting on my iTunes playlist known as "70s EZ".
Here are the songs my list has in common with RAJ's list:
"On And On" - Stephen Bishop "So Into You" - Atlanta Rhythm Section "Reminiscing" - Little River Band "Sentimental Lady" - Bob Welsh "Longer" - Dan Fogelberg "Dance With Me" - Orleans
Apparently I need to step my Gino Vannelli game up, as well as my Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds game, so thanks for the mp3.
Here are some more things from my list:
The Jefferson Starship trifecta: "Miracles" "With Your Love" "Count On Me"
"Crazy Love" - Poco "You Are The Woman" - Firefall "Do That To Me One More Time" - Captain & Tennille "Insider" - Tom Petty & Stevie Nicks
Also, I finally scored a good VG+ playing vinyl of this last week:
That's right, it's "Who Loves You" by the Four Seasons. This is one of those songs that you know but you don't know you know. I would say that I pulled this from right under pickwick 33's nose, but I have the feeling if I hadn't even been there he wouldn't have added the record to his stack.
Also, RAJ, points off for still using "Yacht Rock" instead of "Marina Rock", on the very messageboard that popularized Marina Rock and encouraged folls and idoits to Step Into The Marina.
However, today is not a day for petty squabbling. Today we shuffle these fine songs like a deck of cards made of terrycloth.
I bought the below comp from a late night tv ad some years back: 1. This Is It - Kenny Loggins 2. Ride Like The Wind - Christopher Cross 3. I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near) - Michael McDonald 4. Reminiscing - Little River Band 5. Biggest Part Of Me - Ambrosia 6. Just The Two Of Us - Grover Washington, Jr 7. Baby, What A Big Surprise - Chicago 8. I'd Really Love To See You Tonight - England Dan/John Ford Coley 9. Hot Child In The City - Nick Gilder 10. Lost In Love - Air Supply 11. What A Fool Believes - The Doobie Brothers 12. Into The Night - Benny Mardones 13. Kiss You All Over - Exile 14. Steal Away - Robbie Dupree 15. After The Love Has Gone - Earth, Wind & Fire 16. Escape (The Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes 17. The Greatest American Hero: Theme - Joey Scarbury
As I recall, their ultimate AM Radio cheez hit was (the rather hilariously named) "Don't Pull Your Love". Aw yeah! we totally had that 45 when i was little.
our 45 collection (sadly lost later but i slowly reconstucted it) was all about such AM radio gems as Gilbert OSullivan "alone again", Grass Roots "two divided by love", BJ Thomas "somebody done somebody wrong", 3 dog night "black and white".... etc... etc... suburban 1974 writ large! they also came on the radio in the car, which was a brown one of these:
the car and the tunes really seem to match in retrospect.

True. I have hardly any use for Frankie Valli/Four Seasons' sixties stuff, let alone their 70's tugboat-rock comeback. But, I do remember the incident...was on my way to the iHop one Sunday when I stopped off at the thrift across the street, where I saw T.C. stocking up on such non-marina classics like "Polk Salad Annie" (yacht-rock? not with gators in the water).
HOWEVER...you guys cannot have a discussion of Hawaiian-shirt, bearded rock without mentioning Pablo Cruise. I can't stand these guys, but "Love Will Find A Way" remains a childhood guilty pleasure. "Oh, but it's alright (alright!), once you get past the pa-aaaain (past the pain!)...you'll finally find your love again (find your love a-gaaaain!)...so keep your hole open 'cause love will find a way!"

That's that good AM gold shit there (late 70's-80's style). What, you didn't know???

Solid!
I just watched the whole video!!!
The rest of my day is looking bright!
Nice! "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck needs to be in there, though.
Can I get an mp3 of that Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds? I love that song.
Here Ya Go!
