    I realize that most people consider stuff like the seeds, standells, etc "proto punk", but there really is whole era of music inbetween the seeds and the pistols.

    def. Modern Lovers... glam era Bowie... all Stooges stuff... Alice Cooper on Straight/Bizarre... Flamin Groovies (who i can't stand, but they are def. that shit...) , Eddie and the Hot Rods, Kilburn and the High Roads and the whole Stiff/Chiswick pub rock scene, Sweet, Slade and other hard glam shit, white light/white heat by VU, all detroit late 60's shit, from mc5 to bob segar system to frigid pink...

    I would class them as punk though. Stranded was 1977..
