MPC60-SCSI question

Can a the MPC 60 read a zip drive with only parallel ports cables instead of SCSI cables? Its not working for me, so I guess not, I have the new 3.1 software that has the SCSI capabalities.

parallel cables should work cos thats what I'm using.

yeah, my PC will read the zip with parallel with ZIP SCSI software, but my MPC won't. Parallel seems and looks the same as SCSI.
