My choice this week has been havana rum with homemade ginger extract and lime. Start with a light mixture and lots of ice, slowly spice it up with more rum as you get room in the glass. This way you don't have to get up too often for refills.
I doubt this has anything to do with the leavings on your porch, but for what it's worth, The Italian word for eggplant, melanzana, has a variation that's used somewhat widely and always derogatorily: mulignon.
The weather is starting to get fall like here and in the fall I love some Scotch ales. Belhaven is my favorite. Its got that slightly oaky undertone like a nice wiskey but with a smooth malty flavor. I still have two in the fridge and they will not last long once I get home tonight.
