although this weekend was lame for records, got a tepid xian lp that looked promising by The Wind Children. oh and a dope ass John Holt 45. and thats it..
on a RR note, I broke down and bought an Expedit today. It's really nice to not have piles of records all over my room for the first time in a long time, but it's killing me to think of all the records I could've bought with the money...

Definitely a good look. Man, I am gonna be pushing it to fit all my records into 2 expedits when I move shortly. Having well organised records in shelves kicks ass - don't think about how many records you coulda bought with the $ - think how much space you've just bought yourself!
not a thousand quality, but most were from my one large score except for the shaft, sweetback, word jazz, major force berry meditation 12" (storm trooper helmet), Nico + Leslie Butler, and the Hi Five was from an estate sale.

Two questions: 1-How much does an expedit cost? 2-Is it easy to assemble or will I have to hire someone with technical expertise to put it together?
the 5x5 model was $180. It's a piece of cake to put together, I'm not sure how long it took me because I took a dinner break in the middle, but I'd guess 1.5-2 hours.
Lou Garno Trio - Chicken In A Basket Clea Bradford - My Love Is a Monster Vicki Anderson - If You Can't Give Me What I Want Don Soul Train Campbell - Campbell Lock Dave Lewis - Searchin'
Plus, in related news, my lovely wife got me an Ipod Video for my birthday.

Thank you, sir. I think I saw 'em on Ikea's website. I need to fix this eyesore of record stacks.
How`s that Leslie Butler, Mark? Some original penned funk up in there?
Yah, it's pretty decent. The cover of "Shaft" and "Aquarius" stand out, so do a few other tracks. In the vein as Overton Berry but imagine it Jamaican style..that's the best I can describe it.
I found some nice stuff (for my standards) the last week and a half or so.
Almost all fleamarket finds. Next to some common motown-stuff I found the following lp's: Black Blood - Chicano Black Blood - Mandingo Black Blood - Amanda => El Chicles pseudo Persuasive Percussion library (produced by enoch light) Sail Joia - S/T (Jean Kluger production, nice bossa from belgium/holland) Patchwork - Ouvertures Nina Simone - Heart and Soul
45's: Black Blood - Chicano The Duke of Burlington - Flash Manu Dibango - Soul Makossa Manu Dibango - Miss cavacha and some rufus thomas, bar-kays, fatback band... 45's
