I rarely get the chance to speak english down here, so when I do, I want to make sure I'm projecting the right cosmopolitan metrosexual vibe out there. So, should I still use "dope" when talking to US consulting people at work?

Comin up I was confused, my momma kissin a girl
Confusion occurs comin up in the cold world
Daddy ain't around, probably out committin felonies
My favorite rapper used to sing, "Check check out +My Melody+"
I wanna live good, so shit I sell dope
Four-four finger ring, one of them gold ropes
Lana told me if I passed I'd get a sheepskin coat
If I can move a few packs I'd get the hat, now that'd be dope[/b]

But perhaps his was an appeal to NOSTALGIA
nonetheless folks I know here in midwest-flyover-city still use it.

No. Not in terms of that is a "dope" break.

But you can go back further and say stuff like smoke/shoot/snort dope.

Or those dopey looking guys over there in the capri pants.

when you want to use "dope" (sic) again in conversations with native english speakers, just say "def"...this hasn't been used sinced the mid 80's and needs a re-up badly. Other than that, you might as well say "wrod" or "word". people should be able to understand you. Now can someone rephrase that graemlin asap?

We aren't allowed to say "Dope" anymore? Apparently I along with 1/2 the people I see in LA didn't get that memo.

please we are going to discuss whether a word is relevent now? Fresh.

I been using the word "rad" forever. As in "that's rad; let's go surfing."

Plus I always try to remember to put "type" in front of my adjectives. As in "that schitt is type raw."

The only slang i think you will truly get clowned for is probably something a bit more recent. For instance, i wouldnt suggest walking around claiming certain things to be "off the hizzle". double whammy for following up with a "fo shizzle". and for the record, im pretty sure the word "nizzle" is pretty inapropriate no matter what color you are.

    BE ADVISED.
